Reality

Don't know where to post this since there is no suggestions section, so I figured spam would work.

This forum is already dying. Yeah I'm new here but it doesn't take much to see the lack of activity, despite it being a new forum. And the activity is only going to get worse from here on out unless some innovations are made.

Clear and cut, this forum is way too similar to dozens of other's out there. There is nothing new or interesting (at least to me) that would intrigue me to log back in. 

Perhaps it's the fact that I don't play any online games that are present on the forum or the fact that forumotion platforms are repetitive and boring. Regardless, if this forum is to retain and grow its userbase, it has to do something different to appeal to its users. 

Now what is that "different" or unique thing(s)? Idk over the top of my head but that is why I made this thread. To brainstorm ideas on what users want and would like to see. 

In addition to innovating the forum, there are some other changes that I would like to propose. For a new forum, there is too much specialization imo. You don't need sections for all the different games, especially when some of them don't even have threads posted in them yet. It is better to put them all together for now, even if it might look clumped. This applies to other sections as well. Later when the community's wants are clear and a userbase is built, you can specialize all you want.

Also, I think it's unnecessary to have all the different usergroups. Usergroup-wise, this forum looks like DNF's. Imo there should only be 3 usergroups right now: Admin, Mod, User. Simplicity is key for a new forum. War Adju and TO seem pointless right now, how active are they anyways and are people even joining their hosted events? No need for Super Mod and Mod, only have 1 type of Mod like a Global Moderator. Point being, the community is too small right now for all these usergroups and staff members. You don't want this place ending up like all the other forums; more staff members than actual legit members. 

If you know me, you know that when I look into something I give it my best thought. I wouldn't have made this post if I didn't want this forum to grow and prosper. Please give me your input

One thing we all have to admit for any forum is that our official Discord chats steal our activity. EF chat is more active than the forum. NF chat is more active that it's Forum. However DNF is strong as ever because their Discord is for Admins only, they still rely on IP.Chat. Discord is such a good service it's actually killing forums that use it. No matter how many members you have.
