| The Souls series is a series of action role-playing video games created and developed by FromSoftware. The series began with the release of Demon's Souls for the PlayStation 3 in 2009. Demon's Souls was followed by Dark Souls in 2011, and its sequels, Dark Souls II and Dark Souls III, in 2014 and 2016 respectively.
The Souls games are played in a third-person perspective, and focus on weapon and magic-based combat with monsters, and exploration. Players battle bosses, interact with the strange non-playable characters, and journey through the medieval-like, interconnected environments in order to progress through the story. The series is particularly notable for its difficulty.
The games take place within a medieval fantasy setting, where the player coexists with the likes of knights, dragons, and various monsters. The recurring theme of the games' settings is that of a once powerful and prosperous kingdom, which eventually fell into decadence after a series of unfortunate events. The players' goal varies between installments; the plot of Demon Souls follows an attempt to halt the spread of a demon-infested fog that would eventually shroud the world, while the plot of Dark Souls involved prolonging an age of prosperity and in the sequel finding a cure for the ailment known as "hollowing".
If you've played any of the Souls series, which one was the best, which one was the worst? |

| My favorite Souls game is a tie between 1 and 3. I did enjoy 2, but I feel like those are better Souls games overall. I think my main problem with 3 is the late game bosses being brutally difficult (looking at you Dancer....) because I am not that great at Souls. I started liking 1 alot more once I got the PC version because I could mod and Blighttown actually ran at a decent frame rate. |

| I enjoy all of the Dark souls games, my favorite is probably dark souls 1 or 2. Dark souls 3 was ok but too many bonfires and other than you didn't get many items in the beginning. It seemed easy. The swamps were lots of fun in 3rd one though. |

I have. It took me a while because lightning isn't as useful against them as it is in 1. |

| I think the broadsword. I don't think ooze will be very effective, but they are slightly weak to gold pine resin. Gold Pine Resin destroyed them in DS1 |

| In case you didn't know, the Belfry Gargoyles are optional in DS2, so you really could save them for a bit later if you really want to. |
